Wedding Professionals Tap into Fast Growing Indian American Market

March 10, 2016 – Desh Videsh Media Group hosts the Indian Wedding 101 seminar on March 17, 2016, at the Atlanta Airport Marriott, where wedding professionals in the Atlanta region will learn more about Indian wedding traditions and trends in the United States.

Since 2010, Desh Videsh Media Group has hosted Indian Wedding 101 seminars in Florida for wedding professionals interested in entering the growing US Indian wedding market. A fast-growing segment, the Indian American community spends nearly double on weddings as their American counterparts. For the first time ever, Desh Videsh Media Group along with their public relations firm, The Arpan Group, will conduct a seminar in Atlanta, where the Indian population has grown significantly in recent years.

Held at the Atlanta Airport Marriott, the seminar will provide wedding professionals an overview of Indian wedding traditions and emerging trends as well as resources and guidelines for expanding reach to the Indian community. Rina Shah, CEO/Founder of The Arpan Group, believes the Indian Wedding 101 seminars are an opportunity for interested wedding professionals to “gain the cultural understanding needed to tailor services and customize marketing using a thoughtful, nuanced approach.”

Aaryn Willis, Senior Catering Executive with the Atlanta Airport Marriott, shares, “I welcome this opportunity to not only learn as much as I can about the growing South Asian community in our region, but also to network with other wedding vendors and showcase beautiful ballrooms and unique spaces at this hotel.” Aside from learning about cultural norms and rituals, the attendees benefit from networking with like-minded professionals.

Indian Wedding 101 Seminars are scheduled for March 17, 2016 (Atlanta) and April 7, 2016 (Tampa). To learn more about the Indian Wedding 101 Seminar hosted by The Arpan Group and Desh Videsh Media Group, http://www.myshadibridalexpo.com/wedding-101-registration or call (954) 784-8100.
