March 21, 2014 – IIFA names Desh-Videsh Media Group, longstanding member of the South Asian community in the United States, a US Media partner for the IIFA Awards and Expo coming to Tampa, Florida in April. For over 20 years, Desh Videsh Media Group has played a strong role in engaging the South Asian community through its print magazine and community events.

IIFA organizers are also hosting a three-day Expo at the Tampa Convention Center, where visitors can visit booths from a wide variety of companies such as clothing and jewelry boutiques, health and wellness organizations, and realtors. Desh-Videsh Media Group, as a US Media Partner and Gold Exhibitor, will work closely with IIFA organizers to engage visitors and work towards IIFA’s mission of bridging cultures through this endeavor.

The response by Bollywood-lovers in the US has been overwhelming and exciting. To date, over 25,000 tickets have already been sold for IIFA Awards. With a range of star-studded events, such as the main awards show, the IIFA Magic of the Movies and Technical Awards, the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum, an IIFA Masterclass with Vidya Balan and Kevin Spacey, among others and IIFA Stomp, a celebration by the Tampa Bay community to welcome IIFA, Tampa natives and visitors to the bayside city will have plenty of options from which to choose.
